
Ilan Hartstein, M.D. Diplomate, American Board of Ophthalmology
Dr. Hartstein is a Board Certified ophthalmologist with over 30 years of experience. He has performed thousands of eye surgeries and has taught surgery as an assistant professor at the Jules Stein Eye Institute- UCLA and as a glaucoma instructor at White Memorial Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the California Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Hartstein graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University, N.Y in 1981 and with honors from Tufts University School of Medicine, M.A. in 1985. He completed his internship at UCI in 1985 and then a three year ophthalmology residency at Albert Einstein Medical College, N.Y where he was chief resident. He then completed a fellowship in glaucoma at UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute in 1990. Dr. Hartstein is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Hartstein is married and has two sons. He enjoys reading, travel, history, foreign movies and cats. His hobbies include tennis, skiing and bicycling.
