He has treated five patients from this family covering a period of many years. Dr. Hartstein is extremely experienced, educated, knowledgeable, and patient. His ophthalmic medical assistants and staff members are friendly, professional, experienced, consistent, and sweet. La Palma Eye Care Center includes an optical shop. Dr. Hartstein has served as crucial to vision for this family, and he is deeply appreciated.

Love this place they always able to fit me in when I have an eye infection. There is plenty of parking, it's very clean, and friendly. I had a question on a Saturday when they were closed so I left a voicemail to my surprise the doctor called me back. They really care about their patients.

March 16, 2026, I had cataract eye surgery done by Dr. Hartstein. I am basically a very timid and cowardly person when it comes to surgery of any sort when it pertains to my body. However, I decided to have faith with my kind doctor (0f 15 years +) and I am having the other eye done on May 11, 2026 . Wow! After my first surgery, it really OPENED my world of vision to clarity, better perspective and colors. Having my other eye done on May 11 th , by Dr. Hartstein will be the best Birthday gift and Mother's Day present for my 79 th year on planet EARTH!

This office was incredibly flexible with me for an urgent appointment, I believe some members of staff even stayed a bit late to accommodate me and it was very kind of them.I was seen quickly and I was given a thorough checkup of my eyes due to some concerns with my pupil size after taking certain medications. They gave me some pretty advanced testing as well to test the physical health as well as the neurological health.The nurses as well as Dr. Hartstein were all extremely patient with me (I was panicking quite a bit about the whole thing) and made sure to be as thorough as possible to ease my stress. Dr. Hartstein felt mostly confident that I was okay but referred me out to a Neuro-Ophthalmologist just to be safe. I am very grateful for the kindness and patience that was shown to me during a very difficult period of my life.

I highly recommend Dr. Hartstein. The receptionist and technician are very nice and pleasant. Dr. Hartstein was also very nice and extremely thorough in exams and clearly explained test results. Highly recommend.

Office is very clean and everyone is Covid appropriate . A nice selection of glasses. Always accommodating for appointments .  Easy parking. The staff is kind and caring! The doctor was extremely thorough. Going to a medical doctor to have your vision checked is very important.
