I had a great experience with Dr. Hartstein. His kindness and steady hand made all the difference. The in-office experience was seamless and very COVID-conscious. Looking forward to a solid doctor-patient relationship for years to come.

Two huge thumbs up for Dr. Hartstein! You could not make a better choice for cataract surgery! I knew of Dr. Hartstein because he performed my husband's cataract surgery with excellent results. His staff and associates treat you with the utmost respect and courtesy. They are exceptionally helpful with any concerns you might have. Dr Hartstein takes the time to explain in detail the procedure and address any concerns. They are all very professional. He explained in detail how the surgery would be done and exactly what to expect afterwards. Surgery was EXACTLY as described. I felt absolutely no pain, well, I took a long nap after. I also was very well taken cared of by Linda, the lady Optician in their office. Thank you.

I've been going to Dr. Hartstein for quite some time now, but usually just for routine eye exams. It was my first time with a medical problem related to my eye, so of course I was a bit afraid because it's my eye. But Dr. Hartstein was knowledgeable of what happened and explained everything to me that I was always at ease. The staff have always been welcoming and great and the wait was not bad at all. Thank you.

So Thankful for Dr. Hartstein's office and the fact that he takes emergencies. My husband starting having pain,swelling, redness and discharge from his eyes late Friday night during a road trip to CA.. by the time we arrived in La Mirada Sat eve. his eyes weren't any better. Sunday I called Dr. Hartstein's office and left a message regarding my husbands eyes and thought I would have to wait till Monday to speak to them and hopefully get in. Well, 20 mins after leaving my message Dr. Hartstein called! We spoke about my husbands symptoms and he alleviated our worries. We were at his office first thing Monday morning, his staff was aware of our situation and the Dr. saw my husband right away. So grateful for Dr. Hartstein'scompassion and experience.

Dr. Hartstein and crew are careful and thorough. Been coming here for most of my life now, always get in and out on time and with great service. His office seems to have a few openings for those rally urgent visits, too.Seeing an ophthalmologist (Dr. Hartstein) in addition to the optometrist is a plus when you wear contacts. He has a thorough knowledge about the latest in contact lense like dailies and is honest about which brands are working for other patents.No reservations about bringing the family here every year for a checkup, and any time something isn't feeling right in the eyes to get it checked out. He is an MD who is very knowledgeable about drug interactions, illnesses and their effects on vision.No problems with accepting the different insurance plans my work switches to every year - of course call them first to check if they take yours.

Highly recommend this Dr have been coming here for many years Dr takes his time with each patient and is very thorough I have had a recurring eye issue and he has always been willing to help and has provide some samples of medication at no cost to me Him and his staff are very professional again I highly recommend keep up the great work

I visited the Newport location and received such wonderful care. The doctor was very thorough and professional and not only treated me, but also taught me ways to take care of my eyes to prevent further need for care. The two ladies at the front desk were so friendly and kind, I felt like I was hanging with my girlfriends picking out some new glasses. I found this doctor by typing in "best eye doctor in OC" and the title fits. Thanks for a great experience !!!

I have been going to Dr. Hartstein for over 15 years, and would not choose to go anywhere else for my eye care. He is highly trained in his field. He manages my routine vision check ups to more complex eye conditions. He is a kind doctor, listens, is thorough, and takes his time during my visits. When I leave, I am comfortable knowing that my eyes have been well taken cared of. The staff is very professional. Dana is especially helpful in regards insurance issues, concerns. Very warm, friendly environment.

Dr. Hartstein is the best. I had been feeling sluggish the last three days because of my swollen and painful eye so I sent their clinic a message on Yelp early this morning to ask if I could get an appointment today. After a few minutes, I got a call from Dr. Hartstein himself and he assured me that he can see me today at 7:45am! What a very sincere and caring doctor he is. He explained in detail what could be wrong with my eye and even gave me a sample of an expensive eye ointment. Check in was a breeze and so was checking out. I have asked my husband to go see Dr. Hartstein for his glaucoma issues. I will also let my other family members know about him. Thank you so much to you and your staff, Dr. Hartstein.
